Pico Overnight Climb

Please be sure to book your overnight climb 2 weeks in advance to secure your spot in the mountain house 🏔 Please note: This climb is not suitable for individuals with the fear of heights ( aka vertigo ).

Your overnight climb will be facilitated by our certified local guide who will guide you safely to the summit of Mount Pico (2351m). Prepare to watch the sunset and camp inside its volcanic crater and sleep beneath the millions of stars⭐. 

At the top of the mountain's crater we will set up camp to spend the night and will also have the opportunity to witness an unforgettable sunset.

In order to witness the fascinating sunrise, the following morning we will climb the “Piquinho”, where you will have the opportunity to take pictures with the extraordinary view of the island.

Meeting Point: Mountain House

Each season the meeting time changes to due the sunset and sunrise, please see details as follows:

  • From January 1st - April 30th the time to meet at the mountain house is at 1:30 pm. 
  • From May 1st - October 31st the time to meet at the mountain house is at 3:00 pm.
  • From November 1st - December 31st, the time to meet at the mountain house is 1:00pm.

Descent: by 8:00h. Return to the mountain house at 12:00. Times may vary.
